                                            Sands of Nezza

By:
M.L. Forman

In the fourth book of the Adventurers Wanted series. This is a great adventure story filled with twists and turns.(Mrs. Wagstaff). In this book Alex (who is a powerful wizard) is called on by a old friend of his that is in trouble in Nezza. Alex has to hide his identity and save his friend along with the kingdom of Nezza's only hope. On his way to saving his friends he was told in a message from his friend to hide his identity from everyone he encountered on his way to save his friend.

At the beginning of this book Alex is in his home when he gets a message from an old friend asking desperately for him to rescue his friend from a impenetrable dungeon. Once in Nezza, Alex mmets a new band of adventurers and joins them in their quest to find you Prince Rallian the man destined to become the rightful king of Nezza. In there quest they encounter a deadly sand monster, a wise oracle, a massive army of illusions, and a host of lords and leaders ready to fight for and against the king of their land.

I think that this is a great action packed book. When I was reading this book it was really hard time put down because i kept on wanting to find out what happens next. It is a book that will nor bore you and will keep you thinking. I would recommend this to anyone who likes fiction and good endings.
Some connections that i made were that i could relate to how the young prince felt he was scared because everything was happening so fast and he was with people who he did not fully understand. Alex is a very respected person, in the past he has saved many lives and also defeated many evils. He is one of the youngest wizards in a long time. He also is very wise, powerful, and gives great advise to his friends.
One of my favorite quotes in this book is "I can only try to guide him through this storm." I like this quote because in life when you are asked to help someone you can only help them as much as they allow you to so you are basically guiding them.

First off, I know most people aren't fans of graphic novels. Heck. Especially manga. But i also know that there ARE fans of manga. Hiromu Arakawa's "Fullmetal Alchemist" is a great adventurous manga. This manga is about two brothers. Edward and Alphonse Elric get very interested in Alchemy at a very young age.  They study a lot about it and keep using things to make other things. "The one rule of Alchemy is that in order to gain something, another thing of equal value must be traded." Ed and Al don't take much caution and aren't smart enough to think about that one rule. A big mess goes wrong and it results in Ed losing his arm and leg and Al losing his whole body. I can't say anything else if you plan on reading this book. I like how this isn't some typical magic story, it goes though Ed and Al's past as the story goes on. I recommend reading this book if you like major action magic stories. Something that drew me in were the continuous cliff hangers. You can't really put the book down once you get started. I know it's a graphic novel, but these are so addicting to read. I'm not just talking about THIS particular book but the series. It also kinda has some moral stuff in it, but not much, obviously, because it's a graphic novel.

                              Schooled
                         By: Gordon Korman

This book is about a teenager boy that lived in a community of hippies, he lives with his grandmother rain, and he is home schooled. Rain had a terrible fall and had to go to the hospital, Cap short for Capricorn has to go live with some family friends for a couple months so his grandmother can get well. It was restricted of him to go to a public school because his grandmother was in the hospital, in the family that he is staying with there is a high school girl named Sophie, she did not like Cap, she thought he was weird annoying and looked funny. When Cap goes to school he is of course the bottom of the food chain. He was in eighth grade the top grade at the school, Zach was the most popular boy at school and his girlfriend Naomi was the most popular girl. every year in eighth grade they tried to an nominate the most nerdy boy in school so they can make fun of them, and of course this year it had to be cap, he was practically perfect for the job he wore weird clothes and his hair was in dread locks. They tried to torture him and tell him lies so he would nominate to be president, but Cap is a loving and forgiving person so he doesn't mind that he is getting teased. Naomi felt terrible about what she was doing to poor cap, she thought he was sweet and had actual feeling about life, rather than Zach. What is Cap going to do?

I connected to this book because I moved from Japan to Utah and Japan and Utah are two different places, and when I came to school I felt like the weird kid, I felt like people stared at me weird, but I did not know how to act in an American public school. And nether did Cap he has never been to a public school before so I felt like I connected to that part of the book.

that I liked this book a lot, it was funny and had lots of fun twist in the book. I've never read a book about hippie before so I thought it was a very creative book, I suggest you read this book because it was funny and was a creative story! “When we lock things away," he said with conviction, "we're really imprisoning ourselves.” I liked this quote in the book because it is true, and it also remind me of what a hippie would exactly say! I suggest you read this book!

Anthony Horowitz

Wereworld rise of the wolf, is a great book. It has a setting of medieval times, and it has were animals. There is the werewolf, wereshark, werebear, werelion, wereserpant, wereboar, and other animals.
Drew, is the main character. He is growing up with his twin brother and his mother and father on a farm in a place called Cold Coast. Drew's father and brother go to a village close to their farm to sell crops. Drew and his mother are alone in the house.
Drew's mother was murdered by a beast that drew doesn't know. Drew only finds himself trying to fight the beast. The beast slashes drew with its claws. Drew goes through an enormous pain and his body begins to change. Drew changes into certain thing that i am not going to tell you. He fights the monster and draws him off. Drew goes to his mother as he is half transformed. His brother and father come home to see Drew cradling his mother in his arms. His father thinks that drew is the murderer. Drew's father spears him in the gut with a wolfshead blade.
Drew escapes his house and heads for the dreaded Dyrewood. I love this book because it has a sense of fiction, but also history about it. I love how Drew goes on many quests to find out who he is. Drew is a great character. My favorite line in this book, is, " You are the last of the (can't say or I'll spoil it) Drew. Don't Fight it son; Embrace it. Conquer it. It may be the only thing that keeps you alive."   I love that line because it tells you to embrace your self. It tells you to be you.
I recommend this book to any one who likes animals, weapons, and medieval times. This book was a great thing to get my mind off of things.

The Testing By Joelle Charbonneau

In this exciting and thrilling book, being smart can make you dangerous. With only limited supplies and knowledge, one small mistake or one wrong answer could mean instant death. The Testing has just begun.

Malencia Vale (Cia ) ,a sixteen year old girl who lives in the Five Lakes Colonies, has waited, dreamed, and studied her whole life to become a testing candidate and then move to the University to help restore United Common Wealth. To be in The Testing, you not only have to be smart, you have to be wise in your decisions you make, because one wrong answer could mean a penalty. And no one comes back after a penalty.

When Cia is choosen, along with three other students in the Five Lakes Colonies, to be in The Testing, life couldn't be better for her. What better than to be apart of rebuilding the United Common Wealth Nation? Everything seems wonderful until Cia's father gives her some haunting advice, "Trust no one." Cia soon begins to ponder about her father's experience in the testing and wonders if The Testing is all she thought is to be. Cia travels to Tosu City ( the capital of the United  Common Wealth) to begin the testing. She soon discovers the reasoning behind her fathers advice and now Cia is fighting for her life along with a chance to go to the University.

"Things don't always work out the way we hope. You just have to pick yourself up and find a new direction to go in." To me, this was a very inspiring quote and  I just love it! This quote goes along with the book in the most amazing ways and just gives a good reason to read this book.

I enjoyed this book because of it's wonderful characters. When reading, you are able to meet characters with different personalities and characters that have some deadly secrets. I really connected with this book and related this to school work and my mother when I have bad grades (that rarely ever happens though). I think that everyone could find a way to relate to this awesome book in many ways and make the reading experience even better!

This book is fun, dangerous, exciting, and just a fun read! There are wonderful characters that each have a unique personality. I had a great time reading this book and I know that if you read it too, you'll fall in love with it! I recommend this to all book lovers!!!

                                          Throne Of Fire
                                         By Rick Riordan
                                          Ben Turnbow

This was a great book! I loved reading it. I thought it was exciting every page that I turned. As Sadie and Carter Kane, the most powerful teenagers in the world of magic are challenged to save the world yet another time. After Sadie lights downtown New York on fire with white Greek flames they have to find two more parts of the scroll to the book of Ra. They meet Set the god of evil. Sadie gives up Sets secret name to find the last part of the scroll. Sadie and carter split up. Neither may return. But in the end one way or the other one of them will have to rescue Ra and bring chaos to a calm. Sadie is faces with mummies while Carter is faces with water serpents. It isn't looking good for either and both of them are regretting the path that they took. Will they survive to see the light of day or will the whole world fall under the power of chaos?
This book's setting is in Egypt, New York, and Russia! As Sadie and Carter traveled around the world and had hard times and had great success I knew how they felt with a lot of hard things to do with almost no good outcome! I had such a fun time reading this and hope you will too! I though about how hard it would be to go through all of the things they went through in only a few days! I am excited to read the next book! I hope it will be as good as this one and the one before was! Before you read it see how much fun it would be to read! Here are some quotes and who I would recommend it to!
I would recommend this book to anyone especially the ones that love magic, mystery, excitement, and adventure! I read this book really quick because I could never put it down! I hope that everyone who reads this will enjoy it as much as I did! Just to show you how awesome this book is here are a few quotes from the book!!
  • “Throwing down your staff may sound like a sign of surrender, but in Egyptian magic, it's bad news. It usually means, 'Hey, I'm going to summon a big nasty thing to kill you while I stand safely inside my circle and laugh'.”
  • “Two farewell gifts," Sadie muttered, "from two gorgeous guys. I hate my life.”
“The sign was spray-painted in Arabic and English, probably from some attempt by the farmer to sell his wares in the market. The English read: Dates-best price. Cold Bebsi. "Bebsi?" I asked. "Pepsi,"  Walt said. "I read about it on the Internet. There's no 'p' in Arabic. Everyone here calls the soda Bebsi."
"So you have to have Bebsi with your bizza?"
"Brobably.”

As you can tell this is a great book and has a little bit of comedy in it! I hope you love it as much as I did!

My Vicksburg

one quote that i liked from this book was that "the shells were hitting like an angyry bee hive" because it is so true and it actually means something.
This book is based on the battle in vicks burg and life was rough at that time because all of the residents had to live in caves and eat rats.

Ender's Game!

Ender's Game

The book review I'm doing is about the book Ender's Game. In it, there is a kid named Ender, that has to save mankind.

Ender is a very smart child who learns about battle strategies and can learn very easily. He knows many things and can do many things. He is in school when they "pretend" to send him off. They then test to see how he reacts to it. Then they bring him to battle school after great success. Ender learns there how to play a game, where you just have to reach the other side. It uses his best battle strategies to figure out how, because people are shooting at you. They do different circumstances where he has to face many other teams at a time. He succeeds really well. He then gets sent to an other school where he has to do many other things.. I can not tell you which things. You must read the book! It has an amazing ending that surprises you and you just want to read it over and over again to get all the details in.

My favorite character in this book is Ender, the main character. He is just so awesome and always preservers and is really smart. He knows how to do things right and is really young still. I just would want to be like he because he is just so amazing. This book is a good hook. "I have to win this now, and for all time, or I’ll fight it ever day and it will get worse and worse." -Ender. This is one of his famous quotes, because he says that the war won't be ended until he finishes it all, which makes it an epic quote.

I would recommend this to anyone, who loves fantasy and in the future things, Like Hunger Games or Divergent. It is a really good book to read and you just can't stop reading it. I could not put the book down and when I did I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen next. This is a really good book for anyone who likes books that have space in them too, because this has lots of space. Plus it's a movie, which makes it awesomer. This is a really awesome book. Now go read it!!!

SHATTER ME
This book is about a teenage girl named Juliet who has been in solitary confinement for the last 264 days. Juliet has a supernatural ability; any person she touches dies. Because of her power Juliet refuses to touch anyone, which becomes very difficult when she is given a cellmate, a very attractive teenage cellmate named Adam. Juliet and Adam begin to plot an escape, waiting until the right moment to leave their prison. Unfortunately the warden of the jail, Warner, will not allow Juliet to leave due to his creepy stalker-esque tendencies. The rest of the book is Juliet having teen angst, almost killing people and falling in love; all the things social media wants in a book.
This book teaches the classic Disney style lesson of you should not fear what you don't understand. It also deals with mans inhumanity towards his fellow man, or in this case, teenage girls.
My favorite passage from the book was; "I am not insane" Juliet is constantly rethinking herself and attempting to block any stray thought that may hurt her. She fears that she is going insane, and begins to believe that she is falling into the abyss of her own mind, only to be wrenched back by Adam.
This book is amazing. It delves into the psyche of a disturbed teenage girl and follows her pain. The characters are very memorable and the very idea of an insane protagonist is very appealing to me. However Juliet does strongly resemble a certain X-men character that cannot touch another human being without causing them mortal harm, but I digress.
This book is obviously not for everyone. The reader must be interested in superhero-like science fiction, romance, angst, insanity, and being inside of the confusing female mind. Clearly not every reader is suited for this book, however if those themes appeal to you, than this is the perfect book for you.
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid
The Third Wheel

This book is one of the books from the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid  series. This book is about how Greg Heffley has a valentines day dance at his school the problem is that he cant find a date so he scrabbles around looking for a date. Then he finally gets one but his best Friend Rowley didn't find one so he takes no one do the dance so hes the odd man out.
These books are really funny. I love how they have pictures with each page so that makes these books a really easy read. These books are best books for lazy readers like me or if you like funny books that are realistic fiction or want a book that they can make a connection with there self's because that is what I do when I read these books

One of my favorite quotes in this book is on the first page
"Luckily, I remember just about everything that's happened to me since I was born." This is a funny quote because I don't think anyone remembers that far back into there life.
